Tales of the Wilnots
by
Mark (Avy) Avison
Growing up in Scarborough (Toronto) in the early 70's was truly awesome. Neighbours knew neighbours, kids could stay out late and feel safe, school was fun, and teachers and students truly respected one another. Meeting and forging life-long friendships with a group of guys who I consider not just friends, but brothers made it even more special. These are the stories of my journey with these guys starting in elementary school to junior high school, high school, university and continuing to the present day. It was important for me to share these true stories before age catches up to me and they become lost forever. So find a comfy chair, pour yourself your favorite beverage, crack open the book and enjoy the next few hours of non-stop belly laughs as you find out first-hand what it was truly like to be a Hairy Wilnot!
Mark (Avy) Avison is a retired commercial real estate professional who lives in Pickering Ontario. He has been happily married for 40 years, has two boys and two grand children. He enjoys all sports and still competes playing ITF Master tennis in Canada and abroad.
