What would you do if a mishap caused you to lose your joy? Five year old Miranda was heartbroken when she discovered her favourite twirling dress was ruined! Nothing else in her closet made her dance with joy. It was perfect in every way and now it wasn't. What would she do to stop her tears? She would tell her mommy and hope for a solution. Miranda's Twirly Dress is a delightful story of youthful glee, tears and hope for every little child who loves to twirl.

Susan Koivu was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. After high school, she received a Bachelor of Science of Language (BSL) from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. It was there she met her future husband, John. Upon graduation, she accepted a job in Toronto as a French translator before moving back to Nova Scotia to join the airline industry. She and John got married and together they raised four children. They have, in recent years, been lucky enough to experience the wonderful joys of being grandparents. Miranda’s Twirly Dress is based on the true story of their daughter’s attachment to a special dress and the childhood antics that ensued. It is her first children’s book.
